Hello All
just wanted to share with you..the chart sucess that Mud had here downunder.
Well Mud were not hugely successful here, with Tiger Feet being the only song that made top 20, and Rocketand Monnshine Sally didnt even make the charts..can you believe that.
I wish us Aussies had taken more notice of them, because they were a great band..
Hypnosis no 57 nov 73
Dynamite no 61 feb 74
Tiger Feet no 17 may 74
The secrets that we keep no 57 may 75
Oh Boy no 54 jul 75
Just try a little Tenderness no 98 nov 77
Gee us Aussies really missed out
What were we thinking back then
regards

It was good to see that Mud did have at least a few chart entries in Australia. I was grateful for this information as I've been trying to figure out the global impact which the group's records had for some time. If it's of any interest, I have Mud's New Zealand chart placings courtesy of Dean Scapolo's book "New Zealand Music Charts 1966-1996 : Singles" :
Tiger Feet (No.18, March 1974)
Rocket (No.21, July 1974)
Oh Boy (No.29, June 1975) |
